Using installation to post further questions

The concluding stage of my work is a composition of elements of space and things that are played up and re-acquire a certain meaning through the prism of my public. The one of the popular artists inspired me to this idea. One of the first artists who consciously approached the creation of an installation as an art object was Allan Kaprow. The artist himself referred to his work as environment, which translates as “environment”. In his work, the installation acts as a way of interacting with the public, often to create his works the audience was involved: ordinary passers-by or specially trained actors. One of the features of the artist’s work was that he perceived the space around him as a three-dimensional object of creativity.
The purpose of the work is to show a community of taste in “reality”. To work successfully on the visualization of the news feed in the group, I needed more than 1000 screenshots of the publications “Загляни в мою душу”, and red spotlight. A high degree of memorization is due to the presence of stable associations with a particular color. In the advertising industry, color design features two important functions at once – emotional and practical. On the emotional level, feelings caused by a particular color play a huge role, on a practical level – the ability to create a unique memorable design. Any color can be read as a word, or interpreted as a signal, sign, or symbol. “Reading” a color can be subjective, individual. However, in the case of my community the red color represents the red rose that is the important element in the design.
The installation gives some understanding of how my group works at the level of consciousness, because everyone who comes to the online page automatically looks for signs or answers to questions. Thus, by reposting a publication, they also try to convey something to people or to a specific person; this is the essence of the whole group.
The installation is exhibited at the Faculty of Art, the University of Opole for a public view at the A4 student gallery from 8 to 19 of October 2020. It consists of CA 1000 printouts and the red spotlight installation. It aims to reproduce the group mood onto physical space of the gallery so the viewers are able to “get inside” the group and simultaneously have an “overview” of its complexity and multitude of posts.
